With thunderstorms, tornado warnings, and seemingly endless rain, the sanctuary has seen some wild weather this past week. The sanctuary facilities have stood strong and everyone is doing well and enjoying lots of indoor enrichment, but we are all eager for the sun to return! With all of the rain we’ve seen, the Jessamine Creek, which runs parallel to the sanctuary, is flowing quickly and higher than usual. It has yet to breach the bank, but we have more rain on the way so we’ll see just how high it gets! Fortunately, all of the primate houses are elevated and a safe distance away, and everyone is enjoying the exciting view of their backyard rapids.
