A Splash of Drama – Noelle

12 × 12 inches | Wrapped canvas
Tempera paint on canvas

Noelle has a flair for the dramatic, and this little painting certainly knows how to make an entrance.

Vivid magenta and electric blue sweep across the white canvas in broad, curling strokes, punctuated by playful splashes and delicate trails of paint. The contrast between the saturated colors and open background gives the composition a wonderful sense of movement.

At Primate Rescue Center, Noelle is famously independent, often content to entertain herself. But when food is involved, she likes to know exactly what everyone else has, and she’s not shy about expressing her opinion if something catches her attention.

A colorful original from a chimpanzee who has never been afraid to make her feelings known.
