Leave No Stone Unturned – Chester

14 × 11 inches | Wrapped canvas
Tempera paint on canvas

There’s always something worth investigating, at least according to Chester.

Sweeping strokes of violet, cobalt blue and raspberry pink overlap across this original painting, punctuated by scattered splashes and unexpected flecks of gold. The layered colors and lively marks create a composition with plenty of little details to discover.

Even in his late twenties, Chester remains one of Primate Rescue Center’s most inquisitive spider monkeys. He’s constantly keeping an eye on the activity around the sanctuary, and no new toy or blanket escapes a thorough inspection, especially a good sniff. Give him an enrichment device filled with treats, and he’ll happily spend hours making sure he hasn’t missed a single one.

Fellow spider monkeys Dehila and Bisou also contributed to this colorful original.

For Chester, curiosity is a full-time occupation.
