Scarlet Begonias – Jenny

Jenny, chimpanzee
Scarlet Begonias, 2026
Tempera paint on canvas board
14 × 11 inches

Vibrant reds and oranges spread across this colorful painting, creating a warm, lively composition full of movement. The overlapping colors bring a little unexpected energy to every corner of the canvas.

Jenny has always had a playful streak and a wonderfully independent spirit. She’s perfectly happy finding her own entertainment, especially when enrichment materials are involved. Paper, streamers and other interesting objects often become part of her daily adventures, whether she’s carrying them around, draping them over herself or discovering some entirely new use for them.

There’s something delightfully carefree about Jenny. She doesn’t need a special occasion to have a little fun, and this bright, spirited painting feels like a celebration of that very quality.
