Dancing in the Moonlight – Jenny

Jenny, chimpanzee
Dancing in the Moonlight, 2026
Tempera paint on stretched canvas
30 × 24 inches

Deep purples, rosy pinks and flashes of coral sweep across this large canvas, creating a colorful scene reminiscent of a nighttime sky. Broad strokes twist and overlap, with darker shades giving way to unexpected bursts of brightness. There’s something wonderfully free-spirited about the movement, as though the colors are dancing across the canvas.

Jenny has always marched to the beat of her own drum. Independent, curious and playful, she’s perfectly happy finding her own entertainment. She’s especially fond of enrichment materials, often discovering creative ways to wear or carry them rather than using them as expected. Whether she’s draped herself in something colorful or simply enjoying a little time to herself, Jenny has her own way of making the most of the moment.

And there’s something rather joyful about that.
