November 6 through November 14About the Exhibition
Common Ground brings together artwork created by primates at the Primate Rescue Center with the work of thirteen human artists from across the country. Creating art is one of the many forms of enrichment offered to the primates at the sanctuary, giving them opportunities to interact with different materials, colors and textures.
For this exhibition, each artist begins with artwork created by a primate, using those original marks as the foundation for a new piece and bringing two very different creative processes together.
The collection will be exhibited at 2nd Story in Lexington and offered through an online auction benefiting the Primate Rescue Center.
